  • State changed from “new” to “resolved”

  You can add fermata, but it works the same way as the other add-ons work in Insert menu: we have to set it before adding a note (like dots, flats, etc). However, it would be nice if we could add these things simply be selecting notes. So I am going to open a ticket about implementing this new functionality.

  Hi Csaba,

  I followed these directions:

  add fermata, but it works the same way as the other add-ons work in Insert menu: we have to set it before adding a note (like dots, flats, etc)

  and could not make a double flatted note with fermata.

  I am sending pdf of double flatted note with fermata made in finale to show what I would like.

  Also the pdf shows grace note with stem up or down which I would also like but cannot do in SongScribe.

  Hi Archee,
  I still don't understand what is wrong:
  1. The inverted grace note will be available from version 1.13. You probably have the version 1.12 which you can see when launching SongScribe on the splash screen or in the About window.
  2. To have a note a double flat note with fermata, follow these steps:
  a. Select a quarter note
  b. Select a double flat from insert menu
  c. Select the fermata from insert menu
  d. Put the note down (either by mouse click or Enter button) -> the color of note changes from ble to red
  e. Enjoy your double flat - fermata - quarter note!

  Alternatively see the attachment from my last comment which is an mssw file sent by you previously but I added fermata to two double flat notes.

  I have down the updates every day and Song Writer updates only
  to version 1.12 when will version 1.13 be available.

  Just now I made the version 1.13.
  I will always try to stick to the dates I specify here, on the website for release date: please look at the milestones menu | completed | 1.13, and you can see there when it is expected. This is a release-oriented view.
  However, since you are participating actively in SongScribe project, I am planning to make available a developer environment which means that you will have access not only to the releases, but the current development which means that whenever I fix a ticket you can see the results immediately and test it without having to wait for the next release.
  I hope this ticketing system gets clear to you: we have release versions, which has a due date. And one more thing: if you open a new ticket, please always set the responsible person to songscribe. The responsible person is always he who resolves the ticket. Now I am supposed to be the only developer, but later if I have active help, then other people can take the responsibility and fix the ticket. So if you set that you are responsible, that means, you have to fix the ticket, so please set the responsibility to songscribe, or in special cases (like Mac related things) to Aparajita.

  Everything works great except the backward command of annotations.

  This is how it works on my Mac:
  I select a note, then double flat, I then hold down the shift key and select fermata.
