  • State changed from “new” to “open”

  In the "classic" song books edited by Finale you can see that in a regular page there are two songs: one on the top and one on the bottom. that is why I designed the default positioning in this way.
  However, it can be customized, we can let the user choose the option. Gabor, if you can provide me some kind of UI design suggestions or maybe some icon to show the difference of these two renderings for the user, I can make the rest.

  Here are 3 icons:

  • topbottomAlignment: the current method
  • continuousAlignment: the method I would prefer
  • twoA5Alignment: there are quite a few A5 size printed songbooks, and these songbooks have 1 song per page. These songbooks are in fact A4 pages folded into two and stapled in the middle. For this kind of songbooks the best alignment would be to put 2 songs on each page, one song vertically aligned to the top of the A4 page, the second song vertically aligned to the middle of the A4 page. (I hope you understand what I mean, let me know if you need an example)

  And I would suggest making the continuousAlignment as the default method.

  Yes, please send me an example of twoA5Alignment alignment.
  I must mention that these algorithms must work not for two but for one or three, four, ... songs per page, so they must be generic.
  For the continuous alignment the algorithm is straightforward.
  The top-bottom alignment is also generic.
  Can you please define the twoA5Alignment's generic instance?
