Soundbank failing with latest Java on Windows 7

When launching a fresh install of SongScribe Writer on Windows 7 with the latest Java (version 7 update 10), SongScribe shows an alert:
"The sound bank file looks damaged. Playing will be disabled. Try to reinstall the program."
